James Reid on Working with Julia Barretto: ‘There’s too much noise’
On Tonight with Boy Abunda, James Reid confessed that he’d rather not be paired with actress Julia Barretto in potential projects.
The 26-year-old singer-actor said that he was willing to star opposite Yassi Pressman, Janella Salvador, Liza Soberano, and even Kathryn Bernardo, but put his foot down when it came to Julia Barretto.
“There’s too much noise when it comes to fans and stuff,” James said about Julia, whom he was once romantically linked to. “I have no problem with her at all. It’s just… there’s too much noise. Let’s make life easy.”
In the same interview, James was also asked if he approved of Nadine Lustre doing films or television soaps with a number of other actors, namely Joshua Garcia, Arjo Atayde, Coco Martin, Daniel Padilla, and Gerald Anderson. He approved of all except Coco because he “just can’t see them in a project together.”
