EScents: Protect Yourself from Mosquitoes the Natural Way
When in Manila, the rainy season unfortunately also spells dengue season, especially this year where the rates of dengue have gone up. The good news is that there are ways to prevent getting bitten by pesky mosquitoes and avoid getting the dreaded dengue virus.
Introducing Escents PH, a small brand that first started from a simple hobby of making little soaps and perfumes as giveaways for family and friends and later on branched out into making natural products for the home and for body use. All of their products are made with locally and internationally sourced ingredients, and are proudly made in the Philippines. Most of their products are usually multi-purpose, so they can be used for many things. This, in turn, makes them more affordable because you won’t need different products that cater to different purposes.
Speaking of multi-purpose, EScents Multi-Purpose Spray can also be used as a hand sanitizer, disinfectant for surfaces, an odor eliminator. In fact, it can also be used as a deodorant! It’s easy to bring around, too, because it’s light, compact and versatile. This spray is made of lemon and tea tree essential oils and is my personal favorite. I get to use it for everything, and it’s easy to carry around. It’s only a bonus that it smells really good. What a steal at 100 pesos for a 50ml bottle.
Another favorite is the EScents Eau De Toilet Drops, which are very useful in getting rid of the smell from the toilet. You usually just have to drop a drop or two into the toilet before or after using it, depending on how stinky it is after taking a dump. It also works when you drop a drop of this in ashtrays to get rid of the smoke smell and drains. Take note, though, that it is highly concentrated, so you should only use one to two drops to make the smell go away. It actually works better than typical toilet sprays because you don’t need to much ofi t to mask the odor. The scents are available in eucalyptus, citrus, and floral. It’s definitely a very useful travel buddy, too, since it’s easy to stash into your bug. Plus, it only costs 195 pesos.
Some of these products are available at Echostore and Green Company branches. Online, they are available in Beauty MNL and Shopee. Some products, such as the BugOff can be sold individually as 30ml, 50ml, and 100ml. They also offer refill options for the spray and lotion to promote zero waste and less packaging with the 500ml and 1000ml. Talk about eco-friendly!
