You Can Now Print Your Makeup with the World’s First Ever 3D Makeup Printer
Surprise, surprise, beauty community! Someone just invented the world’s first ever 3D makeup printer that’s set to change the game with how we do our makeup!
Called “The Mink” (a portmanteau of the words “makeup” and “ink”), the portable printer can help you do your makeup using colors from any image you want. The way it works is that you print your photo of choice from your phone, load a Mink makeup sheet into the printing tray, and hit send! Within 15 seconds, you will have a unique makeup palette.
It was first introduced to the world by Harvard graduate Grace Choi in 2014 at the TechCrunch Disrupt Conference. According to Choi, it was founded by this generation’s obsession with all things digital. “Beauty content continues to move to digital and away from traditional TV and print,” she said in a press statement. “Users are turning to these images for inspiration, creating an opportunity to leverage image color data and transform them into physical makeup.”
“I am thrilled to finally be sharing the Mink experience with everyone,” she added.
The Mink printer was made to be travel-friendly so that you can apply touch-ups or do your full makeup while on the go without the hassle of bringing tons of cosmetics.
You can even print colors with either a shimmery or matte finish, depending on what kind of eye look you’re going for! The best part is that each printed Mink makeup sheet can last up to two weeks when kept covered in its original plastic film.

The Mink will be for sale for around PHP 20,500 ($395), but you can preorder it now for only PHP 15,300 ($295). It will be released in the market by Fall 2020.
