The photo published by Disney Plus features Duff looking worried while carrying an alpaca. It is captioned, “Alpaca your bags! #LizzieMcGuire, an original series coming soon to #DisneyPlus, is heading to the Big Apple for the next chapter in Lizzie’s story. Check out this exclusive photo from the first day of production.

Hilary commented on the photo, saying, “The alpaca’s name is Henry. And she really kept a girl warm today 1f976 - Here’s Your First Look at the “Lizzie McGuire” Revival Series!,” and corrected herself by saying, “he* lol.”

Meanwhile, the actress’ photo shows her in the same outfit, but in a happier pose. She said, “Happy first LIZZIE day!!!!! We’re not sure why Lizzie is carrying a stuffed alpaca, but we do know that the revival series follows Lizzie as she turns 30 year old in New York. She has her dream job as an assistant to a decorator, a boyfriend, and a Brooklyn apartment, but not everything is as it seems.

She will be joined by the original show’s cast, including Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, and Jake Thomas. Guess what? The animated Lizzie version will be back but she’ll still be 13 years old!

Lizzie McGuire ran from 2001 to 2004 and followed the titular character, portrayed by Duff, as she navigated teenage life. The show is also known for sequences featuring an animated version of Lizzie. In 2003, it was adapted into a film starring all the actors in the series.

The streaming platform Disney+ will be launched on November 12 but there’s no word when the show will air.
